Hello and welcome, my name is Kendall Toppin. Having graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fashion Design I learned and acquired an impressive pallet of design skills and knowledge about fashion and its cyclical journey from fiber, to garment, and who's wearing it. During my time at Kent State, I was able to partake in their study abroad program. This opportunity enabled me to travel to Florence, Italy, where I pursued international studies in fashion. By taking my education global, I developed a deeper understanding of the relationship between fashion and its cultural and social impact worldwide. I now possess a strong foundation in styling, client relations, and visual presentation, alongside comprehensive training in textiles, fashion illustration, pattern drafting, draping, cutting, and sewing. In addition, I am proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Microsoft Excel, and I bring a diverse perspective with a strong ability to contribute creative and innovative ideas.
Currently, I have taken on a role as floor supervisor with MANGO. Here I am passionate about maintaining strong visual and brand standards throughout out the store. I ensure that collections are styled and presented in line with current trends and visual merchandising guidelines, delivering an on-brand experience for our customers. A key part of my position is coaching and developing the team, from reinforcing store standards to enhancing styling expectations, product knowledge, and fit guidance. I work closely with my colleagues to strengthen trend awareness and ensure that every customer interaction aligns with MANGOs style, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Fashion and its impact on people and how they view themselves is what has kept me eternally inspired. I always feel my most confident when I am my best dressed and I want others to experience the new person they can be in a great outfit. My plans are to take my extensive knowledge of clothes, fabrics, fit, and style paired with my great understanding of people, culture, and relations to be someone who shows you how your closet can be an asset to your future.
